  • The Global Coalition on Women and AIDS (GCWA) will host an interactive dialogue at the 54th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) on how to dramatically improve national responses to AIDS for women and girls at national and community levels.  We will hear from government and civil society leaders on what is needed to make a real difference in the lives of girls, women, their partners, and their families.

Looking beyond the UNGASS Declaration to AIDS towards the Millennium Development Goals and the Beijing Declaration, this panel will explore the linkages between these commitments and highlight what will be required to effectively address the structural issues and drivers of the epidemic in order to deliver on UNGASS and MDGs 3, 4, 5 and 6.  Participants will include Government representatives, gender and AIDS experts, and civil society representatives.
