Members
The GCWA has more than 300 member organizations accross all regions of the world, working on HIV, women, girls and gender equality, including networks of women living with HIV, women’s rights organizations, AIDS service organizations, faith-based organizations, networks of women from key populations, care-giving networks, men and boy’s organizations working explicitly for gender equality, the private sector, and the United Nations (UN) system.
The membership is open to all international or civil society organizations who sign on to its principles; those organizations who do so will be listed on GCWA communication materials, as relevant, as “GCWA Members”. Other coalitions, consortia or campaigns on issues related to women and AIDS may also choose to affiliate with the GCWA as membersto participate in its work or collaborate on harmonized messaging. Individuals and organizations who choose not to become members can register for the GCWA Mailing.
By joining the GCWA, partners commit to strengthening their own organization’s work on women and AIDS. The GCWA is a supporter of the NGO Code of Good Practice and the associated Women and AIDS Checklist, and encourages all partners to review these tools, and use them to strengthen their own organizations.
