Pye Jakobsson, born 1968, is from Stockholm, Sweden. She is a sex worker activist and former sex worker. She is the co-founder of the national organization for sex workers in Sweden, Rose Alliance, a board member of NSWP (the Global Network of Sex Work Projects), as well as a member of INPUD (the international network of people who use drugs). She is working as a project manager at HIV-Sweden. She is a frequent lecturer on issues around human rights, sexwork and HIV.

"In Sweden equality has a proud history, unfortunately some marginalized groups of women, like sex workers and women who use drugs, have been excluded from the right to define their own needs and be an active partner in HIV-prevention. Therefore this opportunity makes me very proud, and I hope I can help giving a voice to some women who has been silenced far too long."
