On World AIDS Day 2012, the Global Coalition on Women and AIDS (GCWA) affirms that we must and we can turn the tide on HIV and AIDS for women and girls. Since 2004 the GCWA and its global membership of civil society groups, including networks of women living with HIV, women’s rights organizations, AIDS service organizations, faith-based organizations, the private sector, and the United Nations (UN) system have partnered to improve the lives of all women living with and affected by HIV.
